Next to the all the organised congresses at EBS, which are in general business oriented, the Students Help Ressort builds an interesting and informative alternative. Social commitment and the readiness to help others is the base of our daily work. Students Help is today a constant in the daily life of our university.
Our work can be roughly structured in once a year projects and permanent projects. The permanent projects in the Rheingau play the biggest part in our Ressort. Most of them are quite intense and are done once a week.
Some of our current projects are: tutoring for children in cooperation with the foundation ‘Zukunft schenken‘; Visits in assisted accommodations for handicapped people in the Rheingau; Visits at an animal shelters in Ingelheim/Rhein; Care for the homeless in Frankfurt/Main!
But there are also projects, which are organised once or twice a year. That is for example the blood donation and a stem cell donation in cooperation with the Deutsches Rotes Kreuz. Other yearly projects are a charity run or a charity concert to raise funds. Especially for Christmas, it is important to us, to help. Therefore we support the present project ‘Weihnachten im Schuhkarton‘.
Everybody can feel free to introduce a new project and/or replace another. Because in the end our work is all about social commitment!
